For All You Freshmen...

I'm Alisha Aerni and I am a senior at Avon Lake High School, which is crazy to think that in just 109 days I will be graduating. So I thought that I could share my stories and hopefully help anyone trying to make it to graduation. I know this is sorta late for the freshemen this year but this is advice for the up and coming freshmen on how to survive your first year in high school. All you have to know is an high school will NOT eat you up and spit you back out, this isn't hollywood, you will survive the next four years. The problem I had my freshmen year, and others would agree, is that I cared way too much about what everyone else thought of me that I stopped being myself. Freshmen year I was a cheerleader, hung out with dramatic brats, and let people step all over me just so they would like me, when I wanted to join the drama club, hang out with my old friends and be the leader my parents raised me to be. After awhile I started to find myself and then high school was so much more enjoyable. Just remember that it is better to be hated for who you really are then to be loved for someone that your not. These are some of the most important years in your life to figure out what kind of person you are so don't waste your time. Hopefully this advice will help you not make the mistakes I did freshmen year, and remember have fun!
